South Bend, Indiana's "United Religious Community" sponsors online Event September 9-10, 2020 NAIN (N. American Interfaith Network)

 The United Religious Community Saint Joseph County is announcing it is hosting the North American Interfaith Network CONNECT 2020 Conference. It will be a digital event September 9th and 10th featuring a keynote speech by Karen Freeman-Wilson, the former Gary Mayor who is now the head of the Chicago Urban League. The event is free and open to all.

FURTHER DETAILS:

The conference is held 6 - 8:30 p.m. over both nights; 9/9 event with the U.R.C. will discuss how public officials work with faith leaders and draw on their own spirituality to improve communities.  The speech with Freeman-Wilson will also incorporate responses and dialogue with Elkhart, IN Mayor Rod Robertson and with Bill Moreau (S.Bend, IN city representative) and with Pamela Young (Director of academic diversity and inclusion for Univ. of Notre Dame).
