Just after sunrise on Monday 11/11/2019, the planet Mercury will appear to pass by the sun. There will be local opportunities to see this event that will last about 5 and 1/2 hours. Viewing it safely requires a telescope with protective solar filters.
Chuck Bueter (local IN Star-watcher) will set up such a telescope for the public from 8 - 9:30 a.m. at Sunrise Café, 1805 Lincoln Way. South Bend, IN
