annual two-day Pow Wow -- Dowagiac, MI 33rd Annual gathering sponsored by Pokagon Band of the Potawatomi Indians
Where: the Tribe's Rodgers Lake campus, 58620 Sink Road, Dowagiac, MI
When: Grand Entries are at 1 and 7 p.m. Saturday September 1, 2018 and noon Sunday 9/2/2018.
In Potawatomi language -- Kee-boon-mein-kaa means "end of Huckleberry Harvest" which remains a time of celebration for the Potawatomi people. This pow wow includes drumming and dancing competitions along with vendors with native artwork, jewelry, crafts, goods, traditional food for sale.
