Every year, across Southwest Michigan, food pantries see themselves fully stocked in the winter months and holiday season. However, when summer hits, food donations go down and their shelves are harder to keep stocked. This can leave low-income, hard working families with very few options. We are asking local businesses to help us stock the local food pantries with items (IN GROUPS OF 100) to help them through the summer months. We will be collecting all the items on June 20 and June 21 and we will have drop-off locations at:
Upton Middle School, 800 Maiden Ln. St. Joseph, MI 49085
Buchanan Middle School Cafeteria, 610 W 4th St. Buchanan, MI 49107
Brookside Learning Center, 61662 Dailey Rd, Cassopolis, MI 49031
Our participation in this global Day of Action will bring some much needed cheer to local families, and those in our community who serve them.
Four Niles Food Pantries are among those to be helped =
Christian Service Center, 322 Clay St., Niles
First Presbyterian Church, 13 S. Fourth St., Niles
Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 528 Ferry St., Niles
Salvation Army - Niles, 424 N 15th St., Niles
