International Dark Matter Day - Oct. 31, 2017 - event at I.U.S.B. - Physics & Astronomy department

Three VERY short (15 minute each) talks by Indiana University South Bend faculty:
7 p.m. -- The Public is welcome -- Campus, South Bend, 1700 W. Mishawaka Avenue

1) Why we believe dark matter exists -Dr. Monika Lynker, professor of physics, IUSB
2) Current guesses about what dark matter might be like-Dr. Rolf Schimmrigk,  professor of physics, IUSB
3) How people around the world are attempting to detect individual bits of dark matter. -Dr. Ilan Levine,  professor of physics, IUSB
Then we will have a panel of experts (Including Dr. Adam Martin from the University of Notre Dame and Dr. John Beacom, from the Ohio State University) answer questions from the public for up to 75 minutes – anything you ever wanted to know about dark matter. All questions welcome!
The Grill is a large space, so all are welcome!
