A Civil War weekend is set for Aug. 18-19 with re-enactors from the 10th Michigan, the 12th Michigan, the 7th Arkansas Infantry, Co. E, the 17th South Carolina and the Texas Brigade.
Activities begin at 9 a.m. both days in Dewey Cannon Park.
Friday, Aug. 18, events include: 10 a.m. - Musket Demonstration; Noon - Re-enactment; 3 p.m. - Civil War memorial service; 4 p.m. - Re-enactment; 7 p.m. - Final Call at Forest Lawn Cemeyery.
Saturday, Aug. 19, events include: 10 a.m. - Musket Demonstration; 11 a.m. - Southwest Civil War Round Table Michigan's 12th (Arts & Education Building); Noon - Re-enactment; 1:30 p.m. - Meet General Custer (Tom Peacock, in the A&E Building); 3 p.m. - Meet General Lee (Paul Wood, in the A&E Building); 4:30 p.m. - Re-enactment; 6:30 p.m. - Music in the Park (Gazebo).
