Minute of silence (June 2, 2017) -- train, bus, transit stop -- Portland, OR

from OREGON, LIVE:
TriMet plans to halt all buses and trains Friday in a moment of silence honoring the people killed or otherwise affected by last week's attack on a train in Northeast Portland.
Safety permitting, MAX operators will stop trains at their nearest station and bus drivers will pull over at stops or along their routes at noon Friday, TriMet said in a news release. The agency invites the public to participate in the minute of silence, whether they're on a bus or train, transit stop or somewhere else.
"TriMet stands together with our community," the agency said. "We wish to pay respects and offer a small initial tribute to Mr. Best and Mr. Meche for their ultimate sacrifice, at to Mr. Fletcher as he recovers. We wish peace for those who are forever affected by this tragedy."
The statement refers to Rick Best, 53; Taliesin Myrddin Namkai-Meche, 23; and Micah Fletcher, 21.
Jeremy Joseph Christian, 35, is accused of pulling a knife and striking the three men in the neck Friday. They came to the aid of two girls who were the target of Christian's racist vitriol, according to police and witnesses.
Best and Namkai-Meche died of multiple stab wounds. Fletcher is no longer hospitalized. . .
