With a local focus and international reach, we are advancing ways to explore his enduring importance through interdisciplinary exploration of "Shakespeare in performance."

Description:

Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival presents: Beyond the Stage - Revenge is Sweet. The subject of revenge is addressed in both of Shakespeare’s great plays (HAMLET & A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S EVE ) presented by Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival this year.
Producing Artistic Director Jay Paul Skelton explores the implications of revenge from the tragic viewpoint of Hamlet and the comic stance in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Actors from our Young Company will share a sample of our summer production with scenes from both shows as well as others from Shakespeare and his contemporaries.
