September 25 (Saturday morning)
Sunburst Races presented by KeyBank, is moving to the fall for 2021. Race day is Saturday, September 25, 2021. While this is much different than our typical early June race day, the date was pushed back to help ensure we are able to hold the race in-person.
We offer a half marathon, a 10K run, a 5K run, and a 5K fitness walk. Sunburst Races is certified by the United States of America Track and Field governing body on all courses. People travel from across the United States and even from abroad to compete in Sunburst. It truly is a special event! In fact, many participants join us year after year.
Sunburst will offer packet pickup on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Four Winds Field, home of the South Bend Cubs. Participants will be able to pick up their bibs before they lace up for some Saturday/race day fun! All race proceeds benefit our friends at Beacon Children’s Hospital.
On race day, Saturday, September 25, 2021, the races will start at Four Winds Field. Again this year, we are planning for all events to finish on the 50-yard line of the iconic Notre Dame Stadium. The multiple events we offer make it possible for all fitness levels to participate.
As we continue to navigate the complexities of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is very likely that more precautions will be announced (to be determined)
